
Applicants may be studying at either the undergraduate or graduate level.
Preference will be given to qualified applicants who intend to specialize in an apple-related field.
Interested students should submit:
· a brief summary of your course of study and qualifications,
· an official college transcript, and
· an essay (500 words maximum) stating the reasons you are pursuing a career in apples or New England agriculture.

Valent BioSciences has funded the scholarship program for each of the past six years.
Valent U.S.A. Corporation markets and sells herbicides, insecticides, bio-insecticides, insect growth regulators, nematicides, baits and plant growth regulators for the agricultural, horticultural, turf, ornamental and professional pest control markets.
The winner will be announced at NEMGA"s annual meeting in January.
